10 Most Memorable Homes of 2018
As we reflect on another great year, we wanted to share our Most Memorable Listings of 2018. See below why Rhiannon picked each one!
1. Best Outdoor Living Space: 106 Cheltenham Drive (Hebron)
This home was outside of our typical market area, but when I saw it in person I knew immediately I wanted to sell it. It was that great! Fun fact about this home, the seller’s son had his outdoor wedding here last Summer.
Best Open House: 1649 Osage Court (Grove City)
Selling this home was pretty special to me. These sellers have trusted us four times in the last five years to help them move. The first weekend on the market we did an Open House and attracted over 60 potential home buyers in two hours. This home immediately SOLD and wins the award for the best before and after photos ever.
3. Best Kitchen: 6092 Braymoore Drive (Galena)
The crisp white cabinets, two-toned oversized island, stainless steel appliances, tile backsplash, granite countertops, and huge walk in pantry made this home the most liked kitchen based on feedback from agents and buyers. This seller was so sweet and made sure each and every showing had a new vase of fresh flowers.
Best Views: 952 Marquette Drive (Lancaster)
This home is in a rural setting just outside of Columbus. Custom built by a builder and overlooked a private stocked pond w/dock on acreage. Serene outdoor tree and pond views from every window were one of the best features of this home.
Best Renovation: 973 E Rich Street (Olde Town East)
Brad on our team is a seasoned investor and this home in Olde Town East that he flipped is by far the best renovation of the year. Brad did an amazing job at keeping the old house charm while modernizing the house to the wants and needs of 2018 buyers. He did high-end finishes throughout and it was gorgeously staged. Way to go Brad!
Best Finished Basement: 13658 Violet Meadows (Pickerington)
This Pickerington home wins the award for the best finished basement this year. It was absolutely stunning. It had beautiful carpentry, motorized drop-down theater screen, wet bar, full bathroom, bedroom, and home gym. My sellers relocated out of state but put so much love into this home before they left.
Best Historic House: 29483 US Highway 23 (Circleville)
The sellers son from out of state called me to sell this home after his parents had tried For Sale by Owner for months with no luck. This is one of the most unique homes I have ever sold in my career. It was built in 1860 and still had the original hardwood floors. Fun fact: This home was featured in the June 2017 issue of Country Living Magazine.
Best Pool: 3893 Criswell Drive (Upper Arlington)
This home quite possibly has the the best backyard in Upper Arlington, and our team had the chance to enjoy this perfect entertainment space! These sellers were neighbors so we were invited over to swim. The private fenced-in yard features a large brick patio, impressive pool with slide, oversized hot tub, fire pit, pergola and outdoor bar.
Best Great Room: 6707 Winemack Loop (Dublin)
I was so honored that my friend Heath hired me to sell his Tartan Fields condo. The two-story Great Room with fireplace, gorgeous staircase & wall of windows received such positive feedback. He has immaculate taste and it showed throughout. We received an offer from a cash buyer at the first Open House.
Best Curb Appeal: 13423 Calhoun Court (Pickerington)
This home was in a perfect Pickerington location. It was in a small neighborhood with acreage which is rare for the area. It had a large lemonade front porch, rocking chairs, dormer windows, trees, long windy driveway and a bright red front door. Fun fact: These sellers and the sellers with the best finished basement are great friends.
